Hello, my name is Andrew Block. I’m a social studies major with a specialization in history. I am currently attending Mankato State University, Mankato. However, I am now coming to a close with my time here and now I am looking for an opportunity to show what I have learned. My dream has been to be a teacher ever since freshmen year in high school, and now I am so close to living my dream. My goal in life is to help students achieve their goals just as mine did. I am excited to be looking for the right school and classroom where I can achieve my life goal.

I was born and raised in Roseville Minnesota. I graduated from Roseville Area High School in 2006. It was a fairly large school with a population size of two thousand students, and in my graduating class a little over five hundred students. It has been a nice change of pace to be in Mankato that has a small student population size. To see how teachers have to differ in their teaching methods and what does and doesn't work.

While attending MSU I have been working hard. While here I have volunteered at different organizations, as well as worked alongside teachers and students. I am grateful for the education that I have received here. I will be sad to have to leave so soon, but I am more than ready to move on to the next stage of my life. Hopefully that new stage will include your school and your students. I am excited to show what I have learned and to learn more from you and my future colleagues. Most importantly, I hope to teach, guide, and help grow your students so that they may be strong in and out of the classroom.
